Management

Edson Junior Lopes
CEO & Co-founder

Junior is the founder and CEO of JPL Catering. He has been trained by Michelin star chef and qualified by West London College. He holds more than 20 years in the catering business. Experiences includes many years in events companies in Central London. Hold the position of head chef at Oratory Restaurant in Knightsbridge before becoming the Chef patron of JPL Catering.

Junior enjoys Mediterranean food as his favourite cuisine however as a food lover he is always open to try new dishes and flavours. On his spare time he loves playing tennis and cooking for his family.

Pamela Lopes
CFO & Co-founder

Pamela co-founded JPL Catering in 2009, and has been the CFO since inception. She is passionate about seeing her clients’ satisfaction after they experience JPL's food at weddings or events.

Since becoming a mother and understanding the reality about school meals, she has faced her job as a mission more than a task. When she is not planning the company's future direction, she is very busy being the chief food taster! She also loves spending time with her adorable kids and dreaming high with her husband.

Barbara Ferreira
General Manager

Barbara Ferreira joined the JPL team in 2009 to support the events and wedding catering business, and she has since developed progressively in her career and is an important asset to the team. She studied Events and Hospitality Management at the University of West London, and was awarded with a 1st class honours degree. During her studies and her first years with JPL she also gained experience with other companies, honing her skills in the hospitality sector.

Barbara enjoys Portuguese and French cuisine, her favourite dish from JPL Catering is the Beef Bourguignon, which she describes as “full of flavour and an exceptional meal to serve in the school, particularly during the winter period.” In her spare time she likes experimenting with other cuisines from around the world and boxing, traveling and looking for the newest trends in the theatres.

Hugo Alho
Executive Chef

Hugo Alho has been our head chef since 2015. He worked in fine dining for most of his career, and studied Professional Cookery at TVU-Thames Valley University. He has cooked for Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Kevin Bacon and many more!

He is fascinated by Mediterranean food and Asian cuisine. His favourite dish from JPL is the Chicken and Pumpkin sauce, which he describes as "a lovely plate of food, aromatic and delicious". In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and attending jazz concerts.

Ines Ferreira
Office Assistant

Ines Ferreira supports with all types of office tasks and supervises the TRiO cafes. After working in Health Care for 16 years she decided to take on a new challenge and is now a valuable member of JPL.

Her favourite dish from JPL is Chicken Curry. Outside the office she enjoys shopping, reading and doing activities with her family. She enjoys travelling to different countries.

Head Chefs

Gabriela Bortoluzzi
Head Chef

Gabriela Bortoluzzi has been our Head Chef since 2015. She has a great deal of experience in the kitchen and has worked hard to achieve her objective of becoming a Head Chef. During her career she has prepared food for Queen Elizabeth II and Hugh Grant

Her favourite cuisine is Italian. She names chicken with pumpkin sauce has her favourite dish, a tasty recipe she learned at JPL; mixing the ingredients with roast pumpkin, coconut milk and spices (hot smoked paprika) makes this recipe tasty and light, with unparalleled flavour. At the finishing stages, a touch of coriander makes this recipe "simple" but rich in nutrients and flavours that will surprise you. In her free time she enjoys going to the theatre and cinema, and traveling with friends.

Rodrigo Honorato
Head Chef

Rodrigo Honorato is our head chef since 2016. He started with us as a chef de partie and has since developed in his career with JPL. During his time with us he has cooked for David Cameron on his last day as Prime Minister.

He enjoys Brazilian cuisine. His favourite dish form JPL is Thai Green Curry; according to him, this is a really delicious meal the pupils in school also enjoy. In his spare time Rodrigo enjoys swimming and spending time with his family.

Jefferson Santos
Head Chef

Jefferson Santos is the head chef. He worked in central London before joining JPL in 2013, and he is always focused on developing his skills as chef. He has cooked for Boris Johnson.

Mexican cuisine is his favourite food, and he thinks that all JPL dishes are great, including their special stroganoff. He enjoys spending time with his family in his spare time and cooking a big BBQ feast for family and friends.

Daniel Ofosu-Asante
Head Chef

Daniel Ofosu-Asante has been with JPL since 2016. He has been developing within the organisation from the very beginning and is now the Head Chef for one of our busiest sites.

His favourite dish from JPL is Lamb Lasagne. He really enjoys playing football, as well as watching movies and listening to music.

Elton Fonseca
Head Chef

Elton Fonseca has been with us since TRiO was launched for corporate cafes. Professionally he worked in various restaurants as a head chef. Elton has also worked for a variety of JPL’s events since 2009.

Amen Gebremedhen
Head Chef

Amen Gebremedhen has been with JPL since 2015. While attending university he has developed his career in-house and gone on to become Head Chef.
